The SJ Games ‘Conspiracy Theory’ Kickstarter.

Very clever, the way that they set the Conspiracy Theory Kickstarter up:

Early-bird supporters can get either five, three, or one buck off, depending on how quickly they hit that support button.  Not that it would have mattered, in my case; I was determined to not back this puppy until at least the Dungeon Fantasy stuff was in the mail.  …It went into the mail today, according to the message that I’ve just gotten.  And the Munchkin Shakespeare stuff has shown up, just in time for me to give it as a present; so, well played, Steve Jackson Games.  Well played.

I’m of several minds regarding the SJ Games Conspiracy Theory Kickstarter.

The “WHO GOES THERE?” Kickstarter.

If I played board games OR had the disposable income, I’d back WHO GOES THERE?  It looks like it’s a lot of fun and they get full points for going back to the original story.  Mind you: I liked both movies just fine.  But the Campbell novella is something special.

Reminder: the Mysterion 2 Kickstarter…

…is about 16 days from completion, and they could use some more attention. As I’ve mentioned before, I liked the first Mysterion (Christian-themed speculative fiction) collection, and I wouldn’t mind trying to sell them something if Mysterion 2 funds*.  So check it out.

Moe Lane

*Regrettably, they haven’t offered to buy anything I’ve written.  Believe me, I’d be pretty open about it if they had. I’m a big believer in being paid.

The Revolutionaries – American War of Independence RPG Kickstarter.

I don’t have the cash to back this at the moment, but the Revolutionaries RPG Kickstarter looks pretty awesome.  And it’s on the cusp of being fulfilled, so if you like the idea of a revolutionary War-era RPG with just a hint of Masonic-style ritual magic involved then take a look.  They’re on their last 72 hours, you see.

The “Restore Historic Mission Control” Kickstarter.

Now here’s something you don’t see every day: to wit, a “Restore Historic Mission Control” Kickstarter from Space Center Houston, which is apparently not part of the federal government. What they are is a group that has a five million dollar restoration project planned for the Houston Mission Control center to fund somehow. And, hey: aren’t there geeks on the internet, or something?

…I wouldn’t expect stretch goals on this one, folks.

The Tour de Lovecraft: The Destinations Kickstarter is live.

I will probably have to explain to my wife why it was necessary to acquire the Traveler’s edition of Tour de Lovecraft: The Destinations, but that’s my problem and not yours.  At least it wasn’t the Yog-Sothoth edition, right?  $150 might be a bit much… to explain as a household expense: certainly acquiring a hand-tooled leather-bound edition is not even remotely difficult to justify on aesthetic grounds.

Anyway, grab ’em while high-end copies are still available as funding tiers. I certainly did.
