#rsrh Least surprising headline today.

Gadhafi’s autopsy reveals he was shot in head.

I’m also going to go out on a limb here and note that the fact that they’re not going to say whether or not that bullet was fired at zero range is a pretty good indication that it was.  In other words, targeted killing.

You can’t see it, but I have my I am so very upset that a dictator who had American civilians killed – and who I had to accept getting away with it, for the sake of geopolitical stability – ended his life terrified, on his knees, and with a cold revolver muzzle shoved against the base of his neck expression on my face.  ‘Course, I also have no idea whether things are going to be better in Libya, once they finish tossing Gadhafi into the same unmarked grave that we dumped the War Powers Act into – but I guess that we’re going to find out, huh?

#rsrh So… Gadhafi’s in Monaco?

At least, that’s my guess, given that Gadhafi’s son is currently telling the world that “his father remained in charge with the army’s backing and would “fight until the last man, the last woman, the last bullet.””  You usually don’t see that sort of rhetoric from a regime until its Dear Leader has already loaded up the private plane with the relevant financial information and is flying to a place with a decent infrastructure and full of public officials who are sympathetic about the essential meaninglessness of extradition treaties.

Which might not be Monaco, at that.  I picked it because I figure that Gadhafi probably will; he might even be able to get away with it, either.

[UPDATE] Hot Air has more.  It’s looking… bad.  And, to editorialize?  I know that people like to sneer at neocons and everything, but I can’t help but notice that all the non-poor, non-unstable, and non-destabilizing parts of the planet all have functional democracies running them.

Just a thought.

Gadhafi’s revenge on the UK continues.

Hey, remember when people like him were too scared of people like us to try to play games like this?

Britain under pressure amid Lockerbie release

LONDON – Britain’s leaders faced strong pressure Saturday to account for any role they might have had in the release of the Lockerbie bomber after Moammar Gadhafi credited senior British officials and members of the royal family for influencing the decision.

[snip]

Libyan television showed pictures of Gadhafi singling out British Prime Minister Gordon Brown by name, as well as “the Queen of Britain, Elizabeth, and Prince Andrew, who all contributed to encouraging the Scottish government to take this historic and courageous decision, despite the obstacles.”

Mind you, this is the guy who couldn’t make nice fast enough, once we yanked Saddam Hussein out of his spider-hole.  So what happened?

Oh.

Right.

Never mind…
