The *Very* Anime STAR WARS: VISIONS Disney+ trailer.

Now, obviously, STAR WARS: VISIONS was supposed to be anime, because it’s a collection of episodes from various Japanese animation studios. So conceded. It is, however, almost immediately clear that the studios in question were not phoning their anime-ness in.

My only worry here is that they’re going to try to make me watch the dubbed versions. Which, yeah, no. I am totally a snob that way.

The curiously inevitable STAR WARS: VISIONS anime special look trailer.

Really, the surprise here is that STAR WARS: VISIONS hasn’t been done yet.

“It” being “Going to a bunch of Japanese anime shops and getting them to do Star Wars stories.” I can’t imagine that they had to do much convincing, either. And I’m not gonna lie: I perked up at the thought of seeing some actual samurai-style fighting in the Star Wars universe. It feels like it would naturally flow from the original concept, you know what I mean? — Particularly since Lucas was pulling stuff from samurai flicks himself.

So I am tentatively down with this.
