…a combination of rain, and shoes that do not well in the rain, made me take a header that was almost on the grass. Nothing broken, I think*, but I was hobbling yesterday, I was hobbling today, and I forecast more hobbling tomorrow. So, you know: we’ll call it a bye day. I need to think about where I’m going with this latest story anyway. I mean, obviously I know where it ends…

Rough draft of the TINSEL RAIN Kickstarter video pitch.

Gonna be working on this today, tomorrow, and Tuesday. Is it missing anything, aside stuff like links and whatnot? – And bear in mind I shouldn’t make the video too long.

Beta invites for TINSEL RAIN are away.

If you volunteered to beta-read TINSEL RAIN and didn’t get yours, let me know. I think I got everybody, but I’m not infallible, to put it mildly. It’ll be easy for me to resend or whatever.

With any luck the beta readers will be done by March, and then the book is off to the editor. And after that? It’s all about the Kickstarter, folks. So be sure to back it when it comes out next month! The better it does, the more I can publish this year.

Huzzah! I’ll be collecting emails from everybody who volunteered to beta read tonight and send over the text tomorrow. Looking forward to getting more feedback. And starting the Kickstarter, so that I can maybe pay for this sucker. And, of course, publishing TINSEL RAIN…

The up to Chapter 17 alpha edits on TINSEL RAIN are done!

Seven chapters to go! I’m hoping to have TINSEL RAIN ready for the beta readers by Saturday. It can’t hurt to have as much time as possible, right?

I’ve noticed that the edits are not as, ah, ubiquitous as last time. Or should that be omnipresent? This gives me hope that my writing has improved since then…

Finished Chapter 13 of TINSEL RAIN Alpha Edits!

This is going faster than I thought it would, thankfully. At this rate, I’ll have it all done by the weekend and then I can track down the TINSEL RAIN beta readers to get things done on schedule. God willing and the crick don’t rise, at least.

I also have to recalculate the Kickstarter start date, so that it’s going on during Farpoint. Still vending at that con!

The alpha reading of TINSEL RAIN is done!

Verdict: approval, and it was a better first-draft than FROZEN DREAMS‘. Which is obviously the goal. It would be horrid if my third novel was no better than my first. The whole point is to get better.
