The ploy of the US Virgin Island Republicans has been thwarted. THWARTED!

Apparently they tossed the six uncommitted delegates* for not following the rules, and then replaced them with alternates. 1 Cruz, 2 Rubio, 1 Trump, 2 Uncommitted. You should probably start caring about these stories, by the way: these days, every delegate is relevant.

*The other three were reserved for the USVI GOP leadership anyway.

Tweet of the Day, …Well, THIS Was Not Helpful edition.

You have to be kidding me.

I don’t know why this makes me want to go have a drink. I mean, objectively it’s no big deal, and I’m not even upset. But still… Jeebus. What are you people DOING, over there in the US Virgin Islands? Playing tiddlywinks?

US Virgin Island results about to drop!

…What?  There are, like, 9 delegates (6 pledged) at stake.  And no, I have no idea who will win. There are four people on the ballot and one of them isn’t even running anymore (Carson). Cruz, Rubio, and/or Trump could win and it wouldn’t surprise me in the slightest.

“What’s the polling?”  Polling? POLLING?  Ha.  Ha-ha-ha!  Ha-haa-haa-haa-HAAAHAAAHAA!!!!!!  HAHAAHHAA-HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA-HHAHAAHAHAAHAHAAHA-HAHA–HAAAA-HAHAA (the sedative takes hold)…

Results here.

[UPDATE: …My God, I’m doing an update to an election post for the US Virgin Islands primary.  The mind reels. Anyway, AoSHQ Decision Desk is telling me that the Green Papers is wrong and the process is a bit of a mess. It probably always is, to be fair; it’s just that nobody’s ever had to CARE before.]

[FURTHER UPDATE: so much for results dropping.  Apparently nobody is answering the phone over there.]
