Bad news on that X-Men sequel scheduled for 2018: it’s still happening.

But they’re going to do Deadpool 2 the same year, so it’s OK after all.

Deadpool 2, X-Men: The New Mutants and X-Men: Dark Phoenix all ready to hit screens next year… The first to arrive in cinemas will be The New Mutants on April 13, 2018, followed a couple of months later by Deadpool 2 on June 1, 2018… Last but not least, Dark Phoenix will be warming up cinemas from November 2, 2018, which gives production plenty of time to find a director.

Come, I will conceal nothing from you.

I intend to turn off the Internet now and watch X-Men: Days of Future Past, because I really should before the next X-Men flick comes out. And I spent a decent portion of the day trying to watch: Thor: The Dark World while still getting chores done. It’s gonna be a long slog; need to get what amusements in that I can.

So, Mental Health Evening. Go smoke a cigar or sip some bourbon or watch the wind rustle the trees, or something like that. Good for the old psychic hygiene, methinks.

Yeah, well, went to see X-Men: First Class.

It was good; better than the last X-Men movie, which should have been cut in half and each half expanded out into its own flick. Good actors, decent take on the 1960s, fairly straightforward plot, and most of the X-Men didn’t have insanely overpowered AND FLASHY abilities.  All in all, good movie: the biggest problem I had with X-Men: First Class was the last five minutes, which went a little (read: ‘a lot’) twisty in its attempt to get the movie back in line with the original continuity.

Anyway, light posting today.
