Why do I not have this album already?
And why are half the MP3s missing on my Briefcase Full of Blues? Clearly, something has gone terribly wrong, somewhere. I need to address this, pronto.
I don’t know who it is that picks the music for the Guardians of the Galaxy movies, but whoever it is: they earn their corn.
Aretha Franklin passed today in hospice care, surrounded by friends and family. She was… she was marvelous. In the sense that she was a marvel: unique, talented, and confident in her plans and desires. I’ve never heard anybody say a bad word about her.
This is, hands down, my favorite Aretha Franklin song and scene. Rest in peace, ma’am.
Aretha Franklin is, apparently, gravely ill. I don’t think that it’s the kind of ill that you can easily recover from, either. My prayers for her, her family, and loved ones.
Rest in Peace, Buffy The Vampire Slayer
Ah, how I love this album.
