#rsrh If you missed Oversight’s Holder Contempt Hearing…

…you can find it here. After C-SPAN finishes processing it, people should be able to clip and embed sections.

Meanwhile: Trey Gowdy probably had the single most epic exhibition (H/T: @DLoesch) of angry, truly righteous indignation, but he had a lot of competition. There are a lot of Republicans out there who stopped listening to administration excuses at about the time that it became clear that the Department of Justice GOT PEOPLE KILLED.

  1. Pelosi, flailing about arresting Karl Rove at ‘any given time.’ Straw men are fun!

  2. I have to admit, I thought the oily reptile would dodge this one. I’ve only just started to think he might actually be held accountable–dare I say it? Jail? And what of Obama’s culpability?

  3. Not jail, extradite him to Mexico for prosecution on accomplice to murder charges!

  4. All I can here is Monty Pythons Spam song from the media, except using the word “racism” instead.

Of course, racism egg racism bacon racism doesn’t sound as tasty.

  5. Thomas Roberts sputtering about ‘sour grapes’ to Rep. Mica–I DARE him to have the Terry and Zapata families on and say that crap to their faces. And receive a two-by-four shampoo in the process.

  6. @Aruges, 3 outcomes, assuming the full House approves the contempt filing. One – they send the House Seargeant at Arms to arrest Holder until he complies. While legal, it hasn’t been done since the 30s, and since the House leadership had to be drug screaming and kicking into even this far, it’s extremely unlikely. Two, they refer prosecution of Eric Holder to…. Eric Holder, who will promptly decline to prosecute. Three, and the most likely outcome, a suit is filed to force production of the documents and it works its way through the DC Circuit over the next 2-3 years if Obama wins, or gets quietly dropped if Obama loses and Holder is gone.

The fourth option, approve and independent counsel to look into this and other things, would be nixed by the Senate, and even if not, Obama would veto it instantly and there’s no way we could get that through over a veto.

One question I have is, ‘what’s the over/under for Democrats with a shred of integrity voting to hold Holder in contempt?’ I think I’d set it at 5 and take the under, personally.
