…but Erick Erickson pretty much covered everything that I would have. Starting with my essential disinterest in the sport itself; which means that I think that this is pretty much the first time that the USADA/Lance Armstrong controversy has pinged my radar. Frankly, the USADA is coming across as a collection of bureaucratic, taxpayer funded jackasses.
Oh, I’m sure that they have their defenders: and, at a guess, I’ll get at least one of them in comments. Which is fine: just remember. That a taxpayer-funded, apparently unaccountable organization seems to be so determined to put its worst foot forward is not my PR problem…
Even with a fake nut, Lance had bigger stones than Travis Tygart.
And apparently, if you don’t fight charges levied against you then you are apparently guilty of something – at least according to World Anti-Doping Head John Fahey who also suffers from congenital testicular atrophy.
USADA is a bunch of mindless jerks who’ll be the first against the wall when the revolution comes.
Why does the government even have an anti-doping agency for sports in the 1st place? Is it any different than the government showing up at your job to piss-test the accounting department? I’m decidedly anti-doping (I hate Barry Bonds & Roger Clemens) but let the sports monitor themselves.

I’ve always hoped Lance Armstrong was clean, he’s an American sports hero. But I’ve always figured it might come out that he cheated. However, I have yet to see evidence that he did even in this new USADA flap.
Well this will explain a lot, and annoy you more (if you care about such quaint concepts as due process):

Time to strip the USADA of it’s authorization to exist.
Moe we need these people and the great work they do. Just look at how much they push around the members of the Baseball Players Union… or the Basketball Players Union.
I am sure once Lance’s union gets wind of all this… oh wait, there is no Cycling Union… he’s screwed. Should have at least joined the Teamsters…
BG5, the competition for FATW is fierce…. I wouldn’t attempt to predict who will have top “honors” WTRC.
P.S. I recognized the reference instantly. You, sir, have excellent taste. 😉
