Trey Gowdy was (justifiably) brutal here when it came to Jon Gruber.

Six and a half minutes of Jon Gruber being picked up by his own self-regard, and then being mercilessly slammed hard into the ground. …That’s it. That’s what happened.

Jon Gruber will never work in This Town again.

  1. Yeah I watched the hearing. I don’t know if he’ll keep his job with MIT, I suspect he will, cause otherwise he will have nothing to lose if he decides to spill everything.

  2. It was pretty awesome at the very end when Gowdy yielded back the rest of his time and the chairman dropped a little bomb on Gruber. Anyone watching the video, even if you don’t watch the whole thing, do catch the last 15-20 seconds or so.

  3. Trey enjoyed that.
And man 2 seconds in and Gruber is behaving much in the same manner my 7 year old nephew acts after a scolding. Seeing a technocrat like Gruber get taken to the woodshed is pretty satisfying.
And the last part where Issa used Gruber to slam the entire academic community was awesome. And smart. Seriously these people hate the average voter and most of the political history of this country. They’ve declared war, its time Republicans started treating them like political opponents.

    1. Maybe it’s the steak I just had, but I sort of feel more free now that I realize how low the Leftists sink. Intellectually, I’ve always hated their answers, but on some level I’ve struggled with their illusion of moral superiority. This isn’t about helping people– it is about controlling people and pushing your own ideas of how the world should be on the rest of us.

  4. To be clear Moe, I hope this man isn’t allowed to work in ANY Town* again.

    * meaning state capitals, he was recently working for Gov. Shumlin (D-VT)
