1. Reminds me of how the most popular song of 1977, despite all the amazing music that came out that year, was Debby Boone, You Light Up My Life. In fact, it was the most popular song of the entire 1970s.

2. I’m a tad confused by the hate for this song. What’s wrong with it? It’s a silly pop song, popular in its day but didn’t have staying power, just like most pop songs.
