Apparently, for real:
The president is to receive the award from the federation of black community newspapers in a White House ceremony this afternoon.
The Obama White House has closed the press award ceremony to the press.
If you’re wondering why, Weasel Zippers found the reason:
Stories of the event, Earnest says, will be published in African-American community newspapers across the country and in that sense the event will be “covered.” But the White House says the National Newspaper Publishers Association is giving the award to the president and is therefore being given its own event because of its historical focus on African American issues.
I have to say, this just isn’t President Barack Obama’s week.

Yeah I was wondering when you would get to this, I first saw it over at Hot Air. Have to say this brings back my history classes on the beings of facism at secondary school.
For starters, remember Obama is big on payback. This is Obama’s way of paying back the black press and also a way to ensure that when the rest of the world hates Obama (which is just a matter of time), that the black press will still be on his side.
