Barack Obama, asking Ed Henry what Obama fondly thinks is a rhetorical question:
Ed, just from a political perspective, do you think the President of the United States going into re-election wants gas prices to go up higher?
…because it’s not a rhetorical question to the rest of us, Mr. President. It is, in fact, a bit of a puzzle. Because that’s what you’re, well, doing.
Moe Lane
PS: Obama went on to say:
Is that — is there anybody here who thinks that makes a lot of sense?
Well… no, it doesn’t make a lot of sense. So why are you so insistent about pursuing policies that raise gas prices? I mean, seriously, we’re not the ones mucking things up here.
C’mon, Moe, if it wasn’t for Obama gas prices would be waaaaay higher.
Didn’t O’bama say something like “under my plan energy prices would necessarily sky rocket”, in 2008? Well energy prices are skyrocketing now, only it’s looking more and more like a distress flare to me.
But nothing negative he himself has precipitated is Never, ever his fault. He’s not going to put on a new suit, nor change One iota, when his base is filled with relativists, syncopnants, and brown-nosers. Calling him out each and every time as displayed here, Is THE RECOURSE.
The real problem is: Who notes it,or cares? Has he affected enough citizenry to make the difference? Where I live, there is no doubt. A big ol’ fat Yeah.
