I know that some of you have issues with the ending, but, sorry: gotta do it. Gotta give her some down time. I owe Shepard easily that much.
Downloaded it, currently exploring house. Good to see Shepard again.
I hated the ending(s) with a purple polka-dotted passion. The natural ending was Anderson and Shepard on the Citadel, watching the world end. What was tacked on afterwards was a kludge of the worst order.

That said, the games had a great setting, great characters, and crowning moments of awesome aplenty. If we hadn’t loved them so much, and the story been so consistently tight up to that point, the horrible ending would have elicited shrugs, rather than outrage. (See also: Batman Arkham City. Loved the game, but I’m not going to pretend that the story was anything but an incoherent gimmick with gaping plot holes.)

This being the case, I can certainly understand the appeal of revisiting the Mass Effect universe as Shepard (before the final folly).
Further, it’s your money. Spend it the way you want. No skin off my nose. I’m glad you’re finding it to be a worthwhile investment.
