For the life of me, I don’t get why Randall Munroe visibly does not care if he gets hotlinked. Isn’t that, like, rude or something? I just can’t make myself do it.
Still: this is a very good point.

Half of the fun of reading XKCD is to read the alt text. For that, hotlink doesn’t quit work.
Moe can include the alt text, if he wanted.
Could also click the image, land on the XKCD site, and *then* read the alt text…
