Rolling Thunder was actually two roller coasters, you know: one side was steeper than the other. It’s sad; that was my first roller coaster. But please note that my nostalgia for it didn’t translate into me visiting Great Adventure at any time during the last twenty years. Which is part of the reason why they’re switching it out for a new ride…

Rolling Thunder was a completely different ride at Six Flags Great America near Chicago. More or less a water flume ride, only without the water and with cars that freely rolled through the troughs.
