Allahpundit, on today’s Obamacare message (“We’re not repealing it as long as I’m President”):
Is this really the message Democrats wanted him to put out today, when news outlets are filled with stories about rate shock, glitchy enrollments, and catastrophic security lapses? I thought the headline was supposed to be “ObamaCare is wonderful,” not “There’s nothing you can do.” Good lord. This feels like a communique from Two-Face to Gotham city…
Let’s just say that this administration has been having a little trouble with little things lately. Like objective reality.
Not to mentioned doing a press conference or speech on time. He was 15 minutes late today, which, to be fair, is under his 20 minute average.
Some people think five minutes early is late. Others seem to think thirty minutes late is early.

If Obama was a super villain, and he wasn’t foiled by his lack of foresight and committed leadership, he would probably foil himself through grandstanding and and inability to keep his hands off things that are going his way. It’d be hilarious if a comic were to keep such a politician as a member of some hero’s rogues gallery for some decades, complete with people covering for them and helping them evade responsibility, but it’d likely be a pain to execute.

I still think at some point the Dems will panic whether before the election next year or after. They will conclude that O’bamcare needs to be modified greatly or repealed outright and with the Republicans playing along the Presidents veto isn’t that big a stumbling block. Remember 50 to 100 million employer provided health plans will be canceled next year if they’re panicking at under 10 million now what will we be looking at then. Will O’bama try waiving that date for another year or inserting the same type of fix he is this time? As I said in the earlier thread today the new plan is to try and keep O’bamcare alive until 2015. He is hoping a constituency will develop that is beholden to the law to oppose the constituency that is already developing to repeal the law. The problem for him is the law seems to be creating far more “losers” than “winners”.
I’m thinking they’ll crack sooner, rather than later. Simple math, really .. there’s a whole batch (including non-funnyman Al Franken) who ran on Obamacare, supported it, and are going to be *unemployed* if they aren’t seen to fix it.
