I will not lie: My Favorite Year is always going to be my favorite Peter O’Toole film.
But this was good, too.
Best entrance to a late night show ever… RIP Peter O'Toole http://t.co/GhoFXSgIq6

Rest in Peace.
Larry Appleton at the end of that first clip there…
High Spirits. A little, less known gem. I like it.
Also, Creator. That was a GREAT movie.
Well, damn.
Mine too…there are so many great lines.
I recently bought a slew of O’Toole DVDs in a super cheap sale and have been re-watching them. I just saw “The Lion in Winter” and “Becket”…Becket’s production values don’t hold up well and the music is beyond annoying, but the timing and chemistry between O’Toole and Burton is a joy to watch.
Ann V. Coates, the editor on “Becket” tells an amusing story of a joke O’Toole played on Burton (begins at 2:30):

The Lion in Winter is awesome, and I also like Becket
I think Alan Swann is beneath us!
