Personally, I wouldn’t go to Vegas on a, ha!, bet. I fear that it would be too much like Atlantic City for my liking: not in terms of amenities, but in terms of how people treat each other.
Still: Godzilla.
I intend to go to Las Vegas someday solely to go to the Pinball Museum there.
I’ve always found Las Vegas to be extremely depressing.
A large portion of the visitors (maybe even the majority) are miserable people, who came to Vegas because “everyone has fun in Vegas”.
But they’re still miserable. And they *know* that fun is around, somewhere, waiting for them to find it. As the night goes on, they get more and more desperate in their search.
Then they go back, and tell everyone who will listen what a great time they had. Because everyone has fun in Vegas.
.
OTOH, the buffets are good. If you go to the right place, you can get cheap alcohol.
And if your conscience can withstand the abuse, there are no shortage of desperate people eager to satisfy your baser urges. (Sadly, I’ve known entirely too many people who love Vegas for just that reason.)
