Part of his Laundry Files series. Lovecraft meets spy novels, etc. etc. etc. Looking forward to reading it.

Already on my Kindle – pre-ordered, last week, along with a couple of the Laundry shorts (“Overtime” and “Down on the Farm”) that I had somehow missed…
.
It’s *supposed* to be my “long weekend read”, but .. I’m through both shorts and the first chapter of Rhesus.. I predict you’re gonna like it.

p.s. very minor spoiler, “Those poor Residual Human Resources”…
I see that Stross likes SCRUM as much as I do…
I am reading the short “Equoid”, which falls between “Overtime” and “The Fuller Memorandum” … (http://www.tor.com/stories/2013/09/equoid)

I hadn’t realized “Down on the Farm” existed, and missed dozens of references to it in other stories…

“Equoid” is good … and it’s up for a Hugo this year.
I really, really, really like the Laundry stories. (And there are Easter eggs in them for people who read The Register.)
It looks like they dropped the price of the ebooks down to a price I’m willing to consider paying. For a while there, they were just ridiculous.

I run hot and cold with Stross. Kind of like Greg Bear.
I know if I pick up a book of his, that I’m either going to like it, or hate it, with not much in between. I liked the Laundry Files that I’ve read. Accelerando left a dent in my wall.
And that’s when he’s not on a crusade against Amazon or self-publishing. (Both of which, I tend to like a good deal more than Mr. Stross.)
