Right up to the point where my temporary crown came off. The resulting unseemly scramble and rewriting of schedules more or less scuppered my posting plans for the rest of the day. Sorry about that.

PS: No, no pain, and I’d quite like to keep it that way. Emergency dentist visit this morning.
This is why, Moe, I go to a dentist who does “insta-crowns”. There are no temporary ones, it goes from bad tooth to crown in one (albeit several hour) session.
.
It’s actually two sessions – there’s the “grind it down, clean it out, and 3-D map it”, then a rather long gap while the automated milling machine turns the 3-D map into a new crown and the dentist works on other patients, then the new crown is cemented in place.
.
I have heard that the material the insta-crowns are made out of is inferior and that I’m more likely to need to have it replaced than the traditional, but .. by the time that happens, I expect the material will have improved further.
