Oh, I don’t know. Seems like they got away with it after posting a half-hearted apology. Then again, I don’t know what kind of legal advice Larry and Brad are getting right now with regards to that article.
They got the narrative they wanted out to a broad audience, and it went viral.
That the story was transparently false and they had to retract and apologize is irrelevant. Most people who saw the former will never see the latter.
