It’s going to be on July 2[6]th. I am… mildly anticipating it, I suppose? I mean, I’ve only just started up now with playing with the stuff that was in Contraptions, although now that I actually have an ammunition factory I can see where one would have been massively helpful earlier in the game. But while I find some of the crafting options useful I’m still more fond of the story DLC, which is why I’m looking forward to Nuka World.
Although I may not get everything out of Nuka World. Apparently you may be able to lead your own Raider gangs against settlements, which is frankly absurd to me. They’re MY settlements, you see. Sure, some of them may not have formally transferred oversight over to my character, but that’s a technical formality. You see, I play the kind of character who monologues to her current companion about the growth possibilities of whatever dungeon she’s currently in: Look at this place! It’s got good choke-points for defense, that house over there could right off the bat hold four, six Settlers, easy, and that patch of dirt can probably fit enough Mutfruit if we were careful. These idiot Raiders were wasting this site.
It’s a quirk.
If I can lead my gang against raider settlements and turn them into productive beacons of civilization, I’m down for that! You’re not the only Queen of the Girl Scouts, you know.
The ONLY place I can see needing another settlement in the vault style is the glowing sea on survival difficulty, especially with the mod that cranks up the radiation to be truly scary (fitting.)

Although that is another region where they had done a lot more as far as stuff there to see and do. The Children of Atom settlement feels like it was meant to be a quest hub, but it just ends up feeling underused.

On the roleplaying side, yeah Fallout has always been one of the richest worlds to play around with. I am always surprised that Bethesda did not come out with licensed fiction for this world.
I haven’t any time to play so, should be fun when I can get back into it. Though I had a few mods, including one that allowed you to build ammo — guess I can drop that now.
