…masquerading as an ‘antique typewriter’ I’d obviously buy it on the spot. At 100 euros it’d be a steal. But there wouldn’t be a chance in Hell that I’d resell it. At best I’d go find a local museum to donate it to, complete with a nice little plaque that casually mentioned what a fine fellow I was to give them such a valuable historical artifact.
Mind you, at 45,000 euros an Enigma machine is still a steal. Well, except for the lack of documentation, which is probably why it sold for so little. Which would be another powerful argument for giving it to a museum.
