So said my wife, at least. It is… difficult… to argue with her on this. Well, it’s difficult to argue with her on anything and she’s reading over my shoulder right now hi honey. Anyway, here’s the tawdry – and, alas, untrue – story of C-45. To be clear, the Beaverton is a satire site, so this bit about auto-correct changing the bill from being a cannabis-legalization bill to a cannibalism-legalization one is untrue:
“I think no one wanted to be the one to point out the error,” MP Sara Anderson said. “We all thought someone else would do it, and then they called the vote, and here we are, all voting to legalize cannibalism.”
But it’s still funny. Sometimes, funny is sufficient. It was also deadpan enough that I bought it until later on in the article. I respect that.
