…Yeah, it’s weird that I’m into stuff like E3 now. Anyway, here are the top three things that I’m interested in:
- We should hear a good bit more about Fallout 76 at that point from Bethesda. The rumor mill seems to be coalescing around the theory that it’s a survival RPG. I could play that. In fact, I was playing that with Conan Exiles, and I’ll be back to play it soon as soon as I think that the game’s stable*. Unless Fallout 76 comes out before then.
- They say that CD Projekt Red will be showing off a RPG at E3. That RPG has to be Cyberpunk 2077. It simply has to. The universe cannot survive it being anything else. — Unless it was another Witcher title. I’d forgive them for doing that.
- Nintendo Switch games. Since my son is the proud owner of one now — and I’m very maturely waiting on picking up Breath of the Wild until things calm down on that** — I’d rather like to know what games are going to be available on that platform. And if any of them are going to be cheaper than forty bucks. Although I suspect that the answer to that last one is going to be hearty, cynical laughter.
I’m sure there’s more, but that’s what I want to find out about.
Moe Lane
*I bought it because Conan, and because I wanted FunCom to survive because then they’d resurrect The Secret World. And they did, so then they did. I figure that I got my money’s worth.
**Although he’s old enough to play the game, actually. Hmm.
You probably need to try out Breath of the Wild to make sure it’s ok for your kid. Like 60 to 70 hours, at least.
I’ve occasionally contemplated the possibility of CDPR releasing another Witcher title. But that “Thanks for joining us!” video that they released using the Witcher characters a while back strongly suggests to me that they’re not planning on doing so anytime soon.
FYI- The Mario/Rabbids game, which is a tactical RPG ala X-Com or Final Fantasy Tactics, has dipped below $30 in recent weeks. It’s apparently fairly good.
Looking forward to more information on the DLC for Prey.
(If you haven’t played it, do so. Seriously, it’s one of the better games out there, and you can buy it new for $20.)
.
Bethesda likely has another big announcement up their sleeve, besides more information on the things they’ve already teased. (Which I obviously want to know more about.)
.
Respawn might be announcing Titanfall 3.
(Again, if you haven’t played 2, I strongly encourage it. Improved multiplayer from 1–which was already exceptionally good, and a really strong single player campaign/story. Which you can now buy new for $20.)
.
Bioware will be providing more information about Anthem.
.
Cyberpunk 2077, naturally.
.
I’m sure I’m missing something that I’m looking forward to, and some things that I’ll be interested in once I hear about them.
