WELL THAT WAS A FUN BEGINNING TO MIDDLE SCHOOL.

The bus disappeared. As in, they can’t find the driver; he or she is probably halfway to Toronto by now*. I finally get my eldest to middle school, I walk in, and say “Yeah, we had bus trouble…” and they interrupt, “Bus [insert number here]?” Which it was. On the plus side, I got to say hi to a bunch of my neighbors, which is always nice. We should all do that more often.

Whee!

*I dunno why ‘Toronto.’ Maybe to break into the lucrative ‘movie extra’ market up there?

  1. Perhaps a craving for Tim Horton’s ?
    .
(and .. don’t school buses have GPS tracking ?)
    .
All that aside .. glad they did, in fact, *start* .. I keep hearing about how many school teachers are still walking picket lines.

  2. Did the driver take the bus and vanish, or is the bus still in the district lot and just the driver is missing? As far as ways to travel, buses are expensive to drive.

    1. “The bus disappeared” sounds like the driver + bus went missing. I’m more than a little curious about whether that is indeed the case.

On the other hand, “The bus disappeared” also sounds like a good start to a short story or micro-fiction. 🙂
