Because CONTROL‘s gameplay looks like it’s off the hook. That bit with the end with the film projector? That ain’t real easy to do, and that really ain’t easy to do that smoothly. I am now Officially Intrigued.

Watched some streams of it but not very closely to avoid spoilers. Looks very stylish and like a better paced Alan Wake. Also seems to have crashed at least one streamer’s rig.

There are still some annoyances like the end of mission summary page being glitched, and loading screens taking longer than average.
That said, it’s now stable, the power fantasy is in full effect, and the fun quotient significantly outweighs the irritations.

I don’t know if it’s enough to save the game. (The first week of Cataclysm was absolutely horrible. There were days I couldn’t successfully log on, and it was crashing all the fricking time.) But if not, it’s a worthy swansong.

It looks like single player SWL with flying and better graphics. Want.
Update- I was watching a streamer who runs a RPG on Twitch with a strong Twin Peaks/Delta Green/Black Mirror vibe to it. He was bouncing up and down in happiness while playing. I’ve also heard that there are some issues on the console versions but they’re still playable.
