Mr. Lane,
.
I am not a copy-editor. However ..
.
In your (quite enjoyable) short story “ANSTEORRA RANGERS”, the following sentence is missing a word:
.
The Imperium’s own mages were saying that the spell probably killed at least a thousand Dominion mages outright, and permanently [???] another four, five thousand.
.
The following sentence appears to go from plural “mudnadoes” to singular “it” .. slightly awkward.
.
The big advantage he had was that mudnadoes were just as dumb as they were clumsy. It could move a fair clip, which nearly got Mike killed right away at the start of the chase, but it got, ha!, winded fast.
.
After that point, I got sufficiently into the story that any additional copy-editing bugs flowed right past without my notice .. which is why I’m not a copy-editor.
.
Thank you for a very enjoyable morning read!
.

The missing word was ‘maim.’ Thanks for catching them both!
