This article from Vulture is easily worth the fifteen minutes or so it’ll take to read it. But, in case you’re busy, here’s the executive summary: nobody involved with THE EMPEROR’S NEW GROOVE is really sure how in God’s name they manage to get away with making that film. They’re all really happy that they got away with it, but it was one of those situations where… things just happened. And worked out, somehow.
It really is fascinating reading.
