Man, this is such a weird series, even when viewed from the outside. And I can say with some pride that I am absolutely viewing this from the outside. I mean, I know that literary/cinematic dystopias are generally going to be unworkable, but The Hunger Games has always seemed particularly absurd. If you expect me to suspend my disbelief, you have to give me something to work with.
