Honest Trailers clearly liked it, despite it being fairly evil. Or maybe because? Either way, buy PALWORLD now, because my GOD but they’re gonna get sued into oblivion.

Shake well, and serve over ice with a resource management garnish.
I tried it.
I can understand why lots of people really like it.
But it just doesn’t push my buttons. (I get my dopamine hits from story beats, emotional investment, and sweaty gameplay.)
I don’t get why so many people are talking about litigation. I don’t see any basis for it.
The extent to which you can patent a game mechanic is very limited. And to the extent it’s possible, they would have expired decades ago.
The degree to you can patent an art style is even more limited. That a cartoon wolf looks similar to another cartoon wolf in a similar style, is to be expected, and is not the basis for a valid complaint.
The superficial elements look like Pokemon but the game activity is very different. And the Pokemon Company has asked its fans to stop writing it letters about the subject.
Believe it or not, the most GameFreak/Pokemon can do is to ask Pocket Pairs to redesign some of their Pals for being too close to their pokemon. This is something that Palworld can do quite easily.
