I’m fine with this being the last season, mind you. Five and done, and STAR TREK: LOWER DECKS doesn’t outstay its welcome. This is, I feel, smart. I’m just glad they got four seasons out of the concept, and hopefully a fifth one as well.
(I don’t judge anybody who doesn’t like this show, by the way. I have an amiable disposition towards shows, and a weird sense of humor. I recognize that people like stuff that I don’t, and vice versa, and it’s not a moral judgment either way.)
(SCOOBY-DOO: MYSTERY INCORPORATED is still the best Scooby-Doo, though. I’m not wavering on this one, sorry.)

I’ve enjoyed Lower Decks the most out of NewTrek.
It and Orville may unintentionally be blessed by parody, requiring some honor to The Lore™ for the humor to translate.
Shows like Lower Decks have a built in ending… eventually, the characters driving the story get promoted to the upper decks.
Ending the series is a better choice than “cousin Oliver”.

I’ve enjoyed Lower Decks so far (although I could do without so much cursing and gratuitous sex).
Strange New Worlds is worth watching too (I think it gets knocked b/c it’s a spinoff of Discovery). Anson Mount is really good as Captain Pike, and Ethan Peck does a very serviceable Spock. The actresses that play Uhura and Nurse Chapel are really nothing like their TOS counterparts, but that hasn’t really bothered me much.
