I’m getting a vibe of Assassin’s Creed meets Witcher, here. Although I suspect that it may be more Settlers of Catan meets Witcher, which possibly isn’t such a bad thing in and of itself. Â More about GreedFall here.

Definitely looks like a black powder Witcher. Which isn’t a bad idea. I like the turn toward black powder fantasies, myself. I thought they were well-implemented in Pillars of Eternity.
So I’ll keep an eye on this, methinks.
What made Witcher 3 the best game ever, by leaps and bounds, was the dialogue, the interwoven stories and the voice acting. I am much afeared that we shall not see its peer for many years.
I can’t agree that Witcher 3 was the best game *ever.* It’s the best game of the modern era, for the reasons you stated. Though I take points off for modern profanity in a pseudo-medieval setting on the dialogue. To me, that’s slipshod. But so much of the rest is of such flawless character. And I’ll add the best combat system I’ve seen in a 1st person RPG, as well. Not overly twitchy, like the 1st two games, but intuitive without being dumbed down, and challenging such that even on normal, winning combat feels like an accomplishment. But organically challenging in a way that makes the player think about how to face each foe.

That said, I’ll still put Arcanum, Fallout 2, and Baldur’s Gate 2 above it. Probably make it even with KotOR, in my mind.
