There is (or was at one time) an Atlanta-area punk band that covered Simon & Garfunkel songs. The demo cd they gave out at the concert has them covering this song. (When I heard them at the side stage, they were playing their cover of I Am A Rock. Very surreal.)
Combat? Don’t you mean augment, supplement, or accompany?
