I hope everyone had a good Fourth of July.

I grilled burgers, had a drink, made sure my kids understood that they lived in the greatest country in the history of the world. You know, the usual stuff. Oh, and I got S’Mores fixings for my wife, so that she could help the kids make some. All very traditional, around here. Fireworks aren’t really until Saturday, so we’ll do those later.

Happy Fourth of July!

  1. It was a good Independence Day. Had some friends out from the city to join us in our small town to set off an excessive number of fireworks, got into a game of one-upmanship against the neighbor’s fireworks, grilled meats, and celebrated ‘Murica with an enthusiastic rendition of the Star Spangled Banner some time after 11PM. And then watched the thunderstorms far north of us put on their own fireworks display. Good times.
