The funniest thing about this is that they didn’t cancel VELMA because of any big controversy. They cancelled VELMA because that’s what happens to all streaming shows these days after two seasons. The algorithm giveth, and the algorithm taketh away, and taketh away, and taketh away.
Almost a shame, really. I was really enjoying not watching the show. Guess I’ll have to start not watching something else, now.

The reason why Velma got 2 seasons is because that’s the number of episodes Max signup for. It had terrible rating, but Max is obligated to make them. Unlike Batgirl where they figure taking a tax write off is more economical and made sure it will never see the light of day.
