That should take a while. We’ve been transitioning our national kid to the White House for three years, and he’s still not up to speed.
I remember breaking down the toddler bed and building my son’s big boy bed. Lot’s of fun. The sad part is he has the best mattress in the house.
I was one of those kids who regularly rolled of bed for years after the transition. What Moe is doing is not as simple as it sounds. Finding and accepting where the bed end is Hard, for some of us at least. (My brother and sister had the same problem.)
Try a baby gate on the door if he is one of those kids that just like to run around. Do not worry about faliling, builds character.
My youngest went to sleep in her crib and woke up in her bed (yes, a very sound sleeper). She came down the stairs saying “Mommy! Daddy! My crib turned into a bed!”
Good luck!

True family classic.
