It’s not so much that the ideas were bad (copyright reformation and health care exchanges, respectively): it was that I realized halfway through both that I was somewhat beyond my knowledge level on the first one and getting incredibly bored by the second. While it’s sometimes entertaining (if fraught) to write when you’re dealing with the first condition, it’s generally never ever fun to write when you’re dealing with the second. Sometimes the best thing that you can do with a post is not hit the Publish button.
