I mean, there’s a Supreme Court case coming up… oh, no money? Well, I guess if there’s no money, then… no. No, this is still not a good idea.
The Hawaii Health Connector has prepared a contingency plan to shut down operations by Sept. 30 after lawmakers failed to pass legislation to keep the state’s troubled Obamacare insurance exchange afloat.
“Now that it is clear that the state will not provide sufficient support for the Hawaii Health Connector’soperations through fiscal year 2016 (ending June 30, 2016), the Connector can no longer operate in a manner that would cause it to incur additional debts or other obligations for which it is unable to pay,” Connector officials said in a report released Friday to the nonprofit’s board of directors.
Then again, neither was Obamacare.

PS: Don’t look at us. Hawaii is lopsidedly Democratic; this is all on them.
If the provisions of ObamaCare were strictly enforced it would look like a Michael Bay movie.
What, full of lens flare?
(I assume you actually meant “explosions”)
Yes; lots and lots of Ka-Booms, and much running around and yelling.
Ah yes, Hawaii, where the Senate Republican caucus is known as Sam.
Does it just seem that way, or are the Exchanges in the bluest states failing quickest?
You mean the States with the highest tax rates and best welfare payouts?

Some never even launched. At least RMS Titanic got halfway across the North Atlantic.
Well .. there’s a catch here…
.
Dumping the state exchange and forcing those using it onto – presumably – a Federal exchange (i.e. what Oregon did) is setting up for (Sun Tzu ref) a defense of a narrow place.
.
Specifically, this increases pressure on the oversensitive Roberts Supremes to “find” a Federal exchange .. and, should Roberts discover a testicle or two .. it sets up the Dems in D.C. to argue a “for the children!” fix to Obamacare rather than a repeal-and-replace.
.
I see no evidence that the statists in the GOP (specifically: the gutless D.C. wing of the GOP) have any interest in repealing Obamacare – what statist has ever supported smaller government? – so won’t be surprised at all when a “fix” is announced. Disgusted, but not surprised.

Yeah, going into 2016 with everybody discussing and debating about how to fix ObamaCare should be the thing that every Democrat from the Presidential race, through the Senate, to the House, wants to discuss. Deeply, achingly, wanting to discuss how to fix this Charlie Foxtrot that no Republican voted for.
At least Otter was honest with Flounder.
