Herzl Amar: a book I’d like to read.

Unfortunately, I can’t, because it’s written in Hebrew by an Israeli named Yoaf Avni (there’s a lengthy translated excerpt here, though). It’s an alternate history where a Jewish homeland was established in East Africa at the beginning of the 20th Century, andĀ things… eh, a little different here, a little different there, butĀ troubles are troubles everywhere, you know? I keep hoping that somebody will translate the whole thing, but alas: not yet. Maybe not ever, more’s the pity.
