I’ve been meaning to read Mira Grant’s Into the Drowning Deep for some time, but I absolutely goram refused to pay the jacked-up price for the e-book that Hatchette Book Group wanted. I don’t really care how tough it is for the print publishing industry right now: I’m not interested in paying for all the hardcovers that don’t sell. It’s not like they’re making cancer drugs or something, is it?
But today the price has been reduced to $2.99, which is more than fair. I’ll pay ten bucks for the e-book version of a hardcover, sure. But it’s a one-day sale, so grab it while you can if you want a horror novel which is apparently about vicious mermaids. And who among us would not*?
