Weird day.

Had to run a bunch of errands, including stuff for Fright Reads this weekend. Also, kind of funky scheduling stuff going on right now, so pretty distracting (it shouldn’t be, but it isn’t). Worst of all: my head is apparently insisting that I read this very expensive book (Japanism, Pan-Asianism and Terrorism) instead of researching stuff for, you know, BANSHEE BEACH. Which absolutely has to be the next book, and that’s all there is to it. The Siberian detective novel can be the next one after that.

Quiet day today.

Although it was more accurately, “I had to do stuff today.” Groceries, explaining to my youngest how to read poetry, getting a good deal on a +2 musket for my Spelljammer game – oh, and getting the new story almost done. It stalled out last week because said youngest was sick. Ach, well, there’s still time to finish.

Today was… weirdly productive/unproductive.

I got everything done, eventually, but none of it was linear. We were all running around and disrupting our schedules and the rest of it, so my benchmarks are all off. And, to be truthful: I’m looking forward to the month being over. Because next month is October, and that means Halloween.

And by GOD I’m not going to be the only one doing Halloween this year.
