Oh, this is entertaining. The government shutdown in Minnesota is about to end not with a bang, but a whimper:
Minnesota Gov. Mark Dayton sent a letter Thursday to House Speaker Kurt Zellers and Senate Majority Leader Amy Koch, saying he “reluctantly” agrees to accept the Republican budget proposal from June 30 if it will end the government shutdown .
Hey, Dayton can be as reluctant as he wants about being brought to heel. Just as long as he’s brought to heel.
Ed Morrissey is also covering this one: turns out that the N-dimensional genius known in this part of the space-time continuum as “Governor Mark Dayton” had also made it increasingly illegal to fish in Minnesota. Couple that with the looming Minnesota beer shortage crisis, and you get one heck of a rake-to-the-forehead there. But Mark Dayton needs to look on the bright side: at least he didn’t whip a puppy with a rolled-up American flag… what’s that? Scheduled for next week?
Well, then.

PS: Yes, I am laughing at Minnesota Democrats. Because they deserve to be laughed at.

I think we can all give this an EPIC WIN!! The MNGOP have balls of steel and didn’t blink!! Can they spare a few to Congressional Republicans??
