…So, Netflix parental controls well and truly suck, huh?

This should not be difficult: all I want to do is have it so the Netflix Roku shows only G-rated movies and my computer’s Netflix shows whatever I feel like watching.  But apparently this is an unreasonable thing to want.

Grr. Arrgh.

Ugly suggestion, but .. two separate accounts?

No, as a customer you *shouldn’t* have to do that but …

Yeah, that’s true. Each streaming device has its own serial number that gets registered with Netflix when you activate it. So, Netflix could, if they wanted to, limit the content on specific devices while allowing other devices to stream unfettered.

    It’s a great idea. I don’t see why they couldn’t do it.

Maybe get in touch with Daniel Jacobson. He’s the Director of Engineering for the Netflix API.

    His Twitter name is @daniel_jacobson

    His website is here:

And, he manages Netflix’s developer site here:

    http://developer.netflix.com/

I’m sure he can point you in the right direction to get your suggestion heard and implemented.

    Cheers!
