Quote of the Day, ‘Just Muscular Enough Not To Get Mocked’ edition.

Alternate title: Quote of the Day, SOMEBODY In The Executive Branch Is Going To Get Fired For This One edition. And yes, that was a direct quote:

One U.S. official who has been briefed on the options on Syria said he believed the White House would seek a level of intensity “just muscular enough not to get mocked” but not so devastating that it would prompt a response from Syrian allies Iran and Russia.

:holding head in hands: I remember a time when we had message discipline in the Executive Branch. It wasn’t that long ago (heck, IIRC the Clinton White House had message disicpline, too). And, you know? I kind of miss those days. Less Deep Hurting all around.

  1. In other words, a half-a$$ed job that won’t accomplish anything but getting people killed and inspiring more hatred for the US.
    .
    Heck of a job, Barry!

  2. I think I have a solution. Find some stateside military post where where we’re doing live fire artillery training (Fort Sill, Fort Hood, WSMR, something like that). You hand over the impact area to Syria. Then you do the training you were going to conduct anyway, including shooting live rounds into the impact area. After that, you take the impact area back from Syria.

We’ll have fired on Syria and accomplished everything this missile strike is going to do, and it won’t cost us any money that we weren’t already going to spend anyway.

The Obama Admin has no discipline, full stop. Obama thinks he can run this nation with just the sheer will of his personallity. This will be a case study for future generations on how NOT to be POTUS.

    1. And how TO be a worthless POS…
      .
Anytime the executive authority of a country starts using military might to demonstrate the size of it’s johnson depth of it’s resolve, things are going to end badly for that country……..
