RIP, Fred Pohl (1919-2013)

Passed away today. I liked Fred Pohl more for his short stories (some of which are my favorites) than his long-form fiction; he was one of those guys who thought about stuff, and wrote stuff in the Fifties and Sixties that must have curled people’s hair, back then.  He had a darn good run, though.

RIP.

  1. I just (re)read through his Gateway series a while ago. Still holds up pretty well, although the first book is by far the best.
