Adam Schiff: White House should have informed Buck McKeon, John Boehner about #Bergdahl.

How bad is the Bergdahl matter for the President? Meet Adam Schiff, reliable California liberal Democrat (and member of the Armed Services Committee), refusing to defend (H/T: Hot Air) the President’s decision to cut Congress utterly out of the loop on the Bergdahl/terrorist swap:

One other fact I’ll raise is that most of the leaks that have taken place have come from the administration and not from Congress, so they really should have brought at least the leadership within their confidence, and I think that was a mistake.

Buck McKeon is the House Armed Services chairman. John Boehner is the Speaker of the House. Schiff feels that they should have been informed ahead of time, and I agree. Adam Schiff would also no doubt say that House Armed Services Ranking Member Adam Smith and House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi should also have been informed ahead of time – and despite my problems with the Democrats’ leadership cadre I would agree with that, too.

Curious to see if they eventually knout Schiff back into line, frankly.

  1. At this point, I’m betting not.
My expectation is that a lot of them are eyeing the lifeboats right now, and that we’re pretty close to a stampede as soon as the first major player bolts.
