  1. Uses the One Roll Engine (roll a bunch of d10s and count the matches, then it’s basically poker–pair of 9s beats a pair of 5s, but three 4s usually beats a pair of 8s). Am listening to the podcasts now (the first episode threw me for a loop, then they didn’t play for months and with the second one you can tell they had a better idea of where they’re going).

The guy who wrote the material (and GMs the games) is excellent. Would highly, highly recommend checking out his stuff at http://hebanon.blogspot.com/. His horror scenarios are great–they did a podcast of him playing “Lover in the Ice” as a Delta Green game and it’s just amazing.

  2. Better Angels looks really interesting, I’ve been tempted to get it for a while. I’ve been a fan of the ORE since I encountered it. For Supers, I think it’s the best system out there.
Although it’s a Supers game, Better Angels uses the central conceit of Wraith, in that one of the other players at the table plays the internal antagonist to someone else’s protagonist. But without wallowing in melodramatic angst or having a completely alien setting.
