I’ve been dealing with Barack Obama’s constant and comprehensive litany of failure for going on six years now. This is the first time that I’ve seen Esquire treat the President like he was just like any other schlub with no sense of taste: which is to say, roughly, and with a casual indifference to how it made Obama feel. It’s… kind of refreshing, really. Although I don’t think that Obama’s going to feel the same way, what with the way he’s been treated as a God-King since 2007…
I suppose that it makes sense that Esquire is more concerned about style over substance.
Reminded me of the used car salesman and his slick spiels. Even better, the Fuller Brush man.
Last I heard, Sears wasn’t doing too well…So there is that.

It’s a suit. It looks pretty much like every other suit out there. Which AFAICT, is pretty much the point of suits.
Luke, that was NOT a well-tailored suit, judging from the pictures I saw. Find a good full-body picture from that press conference, and then compare it to ANY runway picture of a guy in a suit.
The President of the United States should not be walking around in a suit that looks like it was made for someone 30lb heavier and a couple inches taller than him.
Indeed. Not only that, he has a *staff* that we *pay for* to make sure he *doesn’t* look dreadful in public.
